It is that time of year again — going into September — when business owners look at what is still left to be accomplished in the last four months of the year.
Perhaps you haven’t yet achieved your revenue goal, or you are past the launch date of that new program that you have been developing and it looks like the launch won’t be for another month or two.
Especially when there are multiple big, weighty goals staring us in the face, one of the biggest challenges can be what to focus on first and then next and then after that.
I am going to make a BOLD suggestion.
What if you picked the single most important goal and focused on meeting or exceeding that in the next four months?
For example, out of the two examples I gave above, meeting or exceeding your revenue goal would probably be the one to focus on and put your energy into. At this point, if the launch of your new program is going to be a month or two, what about pushing it into next year. Which is the more important and will give you the biggest return on your investment of time and marketing dollars.
Deciding to finish out the year with ONE REALLY IMPORTANT GOAL that has a lot more value to your business and pushing the rest of the less valuable goals you had set into 2022, allows you to totally focus and get out of the “spin” of having too many things grabbing your attention.
Then you can look at that ONE big goal, and plan out how you are going to achieve it. You have suddenly become really focused and the possibility of achieving the goal has gone up exponentially.
How does that feel? Less stressful? That is what I thought.
