Some Career Resources
Hello Everyone,
I don’t know about you, but I can’t believe that it is almost the end of February. This year is already flying by…
This newsletter is going to be a bit different this month. I have quite a few resources to share.
I have posted them to my LinkedIn feed, but you may not have seen them, so I want to share them here.
I will give a quick explanation and then the link to the corresponding post/registration link. If you resonate with the topic, appreciate the information, I would appreciate your showing that with a “Like” and or a Comment. I encourage comments because I encourage engagement. We are all in this together!
So, here goes:
· This year’s CA Conference for Women, being held in person on March 1st in Santa Clara and virtually on March 2nd, has some really outstanding and inspiring speakers lined up: https://www.caconferenceforwomen.org/
I am honored to be a member of the ICF (International Coach Federation) credentialed/certified virtual coaching team this year.
Once you sign up for the conference, the platform will open on the morning of March 2nd and you can sign up for a coaching slot with one of the many executive coaches, career coaches, or resume coaches that are available during that time slot.
I hope that you will consider taking part in the conference and trying out coaching if you haven’t experienced it previously!
·On February 28th, there is going to be a free Career Fair as part of the CA Conference for Women; there are remote as well as in person positions available; the link to sign up for that is: https://www.caconferenceforwomen.org/careerfair/
If you are wondering, the career fair is:
“Designed for professionals:
-Seeking job opportunities in tech, biotech, pharmaceutical, and more
-Interested in exploring flex, remote, in-person, and hybrid roles.
-Early-on in their career through 10+ years’ experience.”
Which companies are participating?
Participating employers who will have staffed booths at the Virtual Career Fair include:

· Oracle
· State Street
I hope you can join us for this outstanding event! Please share with your networks.
On the topic of using transferrable skills across industries, I recently shared a LinkedIn post about Angela Ahrens, whom I have been following for years. She made the transition from fashion to tech to nonprofit. Hers is an inspiring story and I recommend watching the full interview: https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7026564824083902465/
Lastly, I have two books to suggest:
Lindsey Pollack: “Recalculating: Navigate Your Career Through the Changing World of Work”
Dorie Clark: “The Loooong Game: How to be a long-term thinker in a short-term world”
As always, let me know if I can be of service as you transition into your next chapter at work or in your life.
Until next time,
Sandra
